Elecciones 2016 para la tesorería de la EJA.

   Jasper finaliza su cargo como tesorero desde 2013. Le doy las gracias públicamente por su buen trabajo.

   Así pues, en la próxima EJC 2016 Almere (The Netherlands), los miembros de la EJA votaremos entre los candidatos que se presenten, al que se encargará de la tesorería de la EJA durante los próximos tres años.

   Cualquier persona puede presetarse. Votaremos el martes 2 de agosto de 2016 a las 15:00h. en las instalaciones de la EJC 2016 Almere (The Netherlands).

   Entre los candidatos se valorará que sepa neerlandés, puesto que la EJA está dada de alta en los Países Bajos, pero no es un requisito indispensable. Lo que si es indispensable es dominar el inglés, así que no hace falta que traduzca lo siguiente:

   We are looking for candidates for EJA treasurer. Candidates should be good with numbers, diligent, trustworthy (and need to be fluent in English). Experience with handling budgets of smaller or larger conventions would obviously be great.

   Treasurer job description: As treasurer you are responsible for keeping track of the financial situation of the EJA. It's comparable to bookkeeping for a small company. Not to many entries, so the plain bookkeeping does not take the most time. And there are also challenges, such as keeping EJA up to date with European financial rules, finding the best deal on accepting credit card payments, motivating PayPal to recude the rolling reserve, etc. Reading and commenting on budgets (or learning how to do that) of big and small EJC' is also an interesting and important part of the job.

   XC job description: The XC manages the business of the EJA round the year. Usually the pace picks up in runup to the EJC. Finding and consolidating proposals for new EJC's, assisting with pre registration,  keeping up to date with the festival advisers and EJCs. Through the year here are various challenges, such as responsing to projects requests, setting up and continuing effective communication within the EJA board, long term planning to improve and help juggling to the next level in Europe. Monthly meetings keeps everyone updated and ample time for social interaction and helping each other. 

   Aclaro que el tesorero formará parte del XC (Executive Committee), el cual conlleva otras responsabilidades.
